I’m trying to watch anime from a site called KissAnime but no matter how hard I try ut won’t display the video. I don’t know if I’m doing it right but I’ve followed all the instruction even installed the extension

When you use the W2gSync feature the video will not be shown within the video player but in an extra window on the original page. To open that window you have to click on the link displayed within the player on Watch2Gether.

I should have been more specific the video is showing up in the separate box but my friend cant watch it. Does he also have to click on the link to see a shared feed?

Yes you both have to click on the link within the player. You will both be watching the video on the original site and Watch2Gether will sync them up. This is not a screencast but synchronized video playback.
